Social Justice, Tikun Olam, & MitzVote
The value of Tikun Olam, repairing the world, is embraced by many of our students. We strive to create opportunities for our students to give back to the community, locally and beyond. Our focus for Fall ’20 was on the MitzVote non-partisan voter engagement campaign and the November election. Through education and registration assistance we encouraged students to become educated and engaged voters, and gave them tools to approach their civic duty through a Jewish lens. In past years we have offered service-focused alternative break programs. While that initiative is on pause for Spring '21, as possible, we hope to provide local opportunities for students to engage in service, and social justice initiatives.
