Beyond traditional religious experiences, Hillel at the University of Rochester is a place where students are encouraged to build a community of friends and to engage with Jewish life in fun and exciting ways. We do so by offering students chances to gather safely in-person and/or virtually in groups for game nights, film screenings, art activities, book clubs, social gatherings like bagel brunches, puzzle hunts, apple picking, tie-dye, and more. Many of these programs are developed

and Student Board, which is dedicated to building and fostering Jewish community on campus. While some of Hillel’s programs are designed to bring together the whole Jewish community, many programs attract smaller groups of students with similar interests, igniting new friendships.
